Terminated channels and termination appeals
Community guidelines, spam and scam policy strikes
Copyright strikes and Content ID claims
Removed, age-restricted or limited videos

Channel recovery
Four ways we work on getting a channel back
01
Hacked and Hijacked Channels
Attackers often take over the Google Account, rename the channel and run crypto-scam livestreams. Recovery starts with the account.
→Google Account recovery preparation and checklist
→Timeline of the takeover and what changed
→Securing sign-in, recovery options and linked accounts
→Report asking YouTube to review the channel once access is back

02
Terminated Channel Appeals
We read the termination notice, identify the policy cited and prepare an honest appeal through YouTube’s channel-termination appeal process.
→Review of strikes, spam and scam policy and repeated violation findings
→Appeal that addresses the specific policy cited
→Evidence where the termination looks like an error or a hijacking
→Guidance on YouTube’s second-chance options where they apply

03
Brand Account and Owner Disputes
When ownership of a Brand Account changed, or a former partner or agency holds access, the first job is to establish who owns what.
→Mapping of owner, manager and Content Manager roles
→Evidence of who created and ran the channel
→Use of Google’s access and recovery tools
→Early flag where a written agreement or counsel is needed

Partner Program Reinstatement
Demonetization and removal from the YouTube Partner Program are reviewed against YouTube’s monetization policies.
→Review of the monetization notice and policy cited
→Original-work and rights evidence
→Appeal or reapplication prepared for review
→Manual review requests for limited ads on single videos

Four ways we work on video reinstatement
01
Removed Video Appeals
We compare the removed video with the policy cited and appeal where there is a real basis, such as missing context or a misapplied rule.
→Review of the removal notice and policy cited
→Context for educational, documentary, scientific or artistic content
→Appeal prepared with timestamps and supporting material
→Honest advice where the video clearly breaks a policy

Age-Restricted and Limited Videos
Age restrictions and limited features cut reach and ad revenue. We check whether the restriction fits the content.
→Review of the restriction and its stated reason
→Appeal showing why the restriction is not warranted
→Advice on editing options within YouTube’s rules
→Follow-up on the review decision

Copyright Strikes: Retraction or Counter-Notification
A copyright strike counts toward termination. We review your rights and explain the options before anything is sent.
→Retraction request to the claimant
→Counter-notification for mistaken or misidentified takedowns
→Explanation of the legal statement it contains
→Counsel referral for contested claims

How it works
How YouTube Recovery Works
01
Case Review
You send the notices and links. We identify the policy or claim involved.
02
Evidence Preparation
We organize proof of ownership, original files, account recovery details, strike notices and rights documents into a clear record.
03
Appeal and Escalation
We prepare the appeal, send it through the right YouTube process and escalate through the platform’s support and escalation channels.
04
Follow-Up and Securing
We track the decision, explain it and advise on securing the account and avoiding repeat problems.
We cannot promise an outcome or a timeline. YouTube and Google decide every case.
Where recovery is realistic, and where it is not
Cases we pursue
Channels hijacked through a compromised Google Account
Terminations that look like errors, or follow a takeover
Copyright strikes or Content ID claims on material you own or licensed
Videos removed or restricted under a misapplied policy
Demonetization where your content is original
Brand Account ownership disputes you can document
What we will not do
Create new channels to evade a termination
Promise recovery, or a timeline
Ask for your password or claim managerial access to your account
Mass-flag or pressure the platform
Appeal for content that clearly breaks a policy without telling you the odds
Evidence that strengthens a YouTube appeal
Appeals that are specific and documented get a better hearing than generic ones. Gather as much of this as you can.
Proof of ownership: channel name, URL, creation date, linked email and phone
Original upload files and project files (editing timelines, raw footage, thumbnails)
Google Account recovery details: recovery email, phone, old passwords, devices and locations used
Strike notices, termination emails and the dates YouTube sent them
Rights documentation: licenses, releases, music agreements and purchase receipts
The more clearly you can show that you created and own the channel and its videos, the more we have to work with. Keep every email YouTube sends you.

Our goal: Our goal: regain control of the channel and secure the account
02
Channel Terminated for Repeated Violations
A channel is terminated after several strikes and the creator believes some were applied in error.
→ We review every strike, prepare an honest appeal and submit it through the channel-termination appeal process.
Our goal: Our goal: a full review of the termination by YouTube
03
Video Pulled by a Wrongful Copyright Claim
A video using your own recorded music is taken down after a Content ID claim and a strike.
→ We gather the original files and licenses, then prepare the dispute and, where right, a retraction request or counter-notification.
Our goal: Our goal: claim released and video restored
FAQ
YouTube recovery questions
Can you recover a YouTube channel banned for copyright, intellectual property or complaints?
Often we can appeal it, but it depends on the facts. If the termination followed copyright strikes, a DMCA takedown, a trademark or other intellectual property claim, or user complaints, we read the notices, check who filed them and whether the claims are valid, and prepare the appeal, a counter-notification or a retraction request for content you own or are licensed to use. We do not help restore access to publish infringing content, and YouTube decides every case.
Can a hacked YouTube channel be recovered?
Often it can, and the first step is the Google Account behind the channel. Hijackers usually take over the Google Account, rename the channel and stream crypto-scam content. We help you work through Google’s account recovery, document the takeover, and prepare the report that asks YouTube to review the channel once you regain access. Every decision is Google’s and YouTube’s, and we cannot promise an outcome or a timeline.
My channel was terminated. Can you get it reinstated?
We prepare and submit the appeal, but reinstatement is YouTube’s decision and we cannot guarantee it. We read the termination notice, identify the policy cited (community guidelines strikes, spam and deceptive practices, or repeated violations), and build an honest, evidence-based appeal that addresses it. Where the termination looks like a mistake or a hijacking, we make that case clearly. We do not suggest creating new channels to get around a termination, because that can breach YouTube’s rules.
What is the difference between a copyright strike and a Content ID claim?
A copyright strike follows a valid takedown notice, removes the video and counts toward the three-strike limit that can lead to termination. A Content ID claim is automated, usually leaves the video up and lets the claimant block, monetize or track it. They have different dispute routes, so we confirm which one you have before choosing a response.
Should I file a counter-notification or ask for a retraction?
It depends on the facts. A retraction asks the claimant to withdraw the notice, which is faster and carries less risk. A counter-notification is a sworn legal statement that the takedown was a mistake or misidentification, and it can lead to a lawsuit if the claimant objects. We review your rights documentation and explain both options so you can decide, and we suggest counsel for contested cases.
Can a removed or age-restricted video be reinstated?
We can appeal it where there is a real basis, such as a misapplied policy, missing context or an educational, documentary, scientific or artistic purpose. We compare the video to the policy cited, prepare the appeal and the supporting context, and follow it through YouTube’s review. Reinstatement is YouTube’s decision. Videos that clearly break a policy will not be reinstated, and we will tell you that before we start.
Can you help with demonetization or removal from the YouTube Partner Program?
Yes. We review the notice, whether it concerns reused content, inauthentic content, advertiser-friendly guidelines or a limited ads status, and prepare a clear appeal or reapplication with your original-work evidence. YouTube decides eligibility and we cannot promise reinstatement or a date. Ads on a single video can often be reviewed through a manual review request, and we help prepare that too.
I lost access to my Brand Account or someone changed the owner. What can be done?
Brand Account ownership sits with the Google Account that owns it, so we first establish who the owner and managers are and how access changed. We help you document the dispute, use Google’s recovery and access tools, and prepare the evidence for YouTube. Disputes with an ex-partner, agency or former employee may also call for a written agreement or counsel, and we flag that early.
Who can you recover a channel for?
We work for channel owners and people authorized to manage the channel, Brand Account or videos, such as a creator’s team or agency. We never ask for your password.
Are you affiliated with YouTube or Google?
Respect Network is an independent reputation management firm. We prepare the appeal and the evidence, and escalate through YouTube’s official appeal and support channels. We cannot access your account on YouTube’s behalf, and you should never share your password with anyone.
Do you guarantee recovery?
We cannot guarantee recovery or any timeline. Where a case is eligible, payment on success may be available; otherwise we may ask for a deposit or escrow. Every decision is YouTube’s or Google’s, so we assess your case first and confirm the strongest route and the payment terms in writing before we start.
What mistakes weaken a YouTube recovery appeal?
These weaken your case: submitting the same appeal again and again, writing an angry or threatening message, uploading the removed video again or opening a new channel to get around a termination, and paying anyone who asks for your password. Send us the notices and we will choose the route and file it correctly.
Send us your notices and channel links. We review the case confidentially and tell you the strongest route and the realistic odds. We never ask for your password.
